Rafa called the Delpo thing an “amazing disaster” as he was up a double break in the second set, no? Del Potro said he sensed right then he could sneak attack on Rafa & win. Rafa let his mind wander since he had that match in the bag.
Uncle Toni always says that nobody, but nobody, wins everything. You have to accept Rafa will lose once in a while. He’s having an awesome season so far. And when you look at his record on clay 147-4 — well, that’s just insane.

Yeah, i think losing to Del Potro in Miami woke him up from….maybe complacency?!! He was up 2 breaks in the 3rd set, and he sort of let him foot off the gas, and that cost him the match. Miami was not a terrible place to learn that lesson. He could afford to lose that match.
Now, his opponents will face a more-focused-Rafa, on clay…..YIKES!!!!!!lol
