Do you think that Venus Williams can will the Roland Garros if she has a good clay-court season?
She lost today, but at least she made the quaterfinals of Bausch and Lomb. The same way that Serena Williams did to comeback and won Australian open just playing 1 tournament, and the Australian, that’s huge. I wonder Venus can do the same when she plays Roland Garros. What do you think?
I think Venus is a great player but she isn’t quite as good at comebacks as Serena, thus I predict Venus making a good run at the French but not quite winning.
I don’t think so. She may be a good player but not the best on clay
why not… she made the the finals before and she’s pretty good playing on clay
I watched Venus today and I was very upset with the way she was playing. It’s understandable, though, because it’s her first clay-court tournament, she has just recovered from some injuries, and clay isn’t Venus’s surface. It could be like Serena’s run at Australia, but currently, I don’t believe Venus can be as successful as her little sister. She will probably defeat a middle-ranked seed before being knocked out by a more fit player. 4th Round – Quarterfinals. Anyways, I wanted Serena to win all 4 Grand Slams to astound the tennis world.
No chance.
Clay is her worse surface, and if she can’t beat Golovin, she certainly won’t beat Henin or Mauresmo.
Look for her to gear up after the French for grass and hardcourt seasons.
Serena YES , but not Venus !
Venus is irrashonal & not consistent in her game, she even faulters on easy point. Her whole career was like this that is why her father called her sister Serena as the talented & smart one.
Anything is possible for Venus or for both of the William sisters. But I know Venus has yet to win a French Open so I’m sure she wants one badly. She hasn’t had much of a great record there though but who knows. Like I said anything can happen with her and Serena.
Hard as she may try she WON’T take this from its all time winner Justine henin…
