FSN seems to be showing mainly men’s matches and the occasional big women’s match like Davenport-Ivanovic. As the bigger names play eachother, like Henin-Williams, FSN will show alot more women’s matches. If you have the Tennis Channel, they’re showing additional matches on there. The coverage has been disappointing this year as well as Indian Wells. I miss ESPN2!
Both the men’s and women’s finals will be broadcast liveon CBS. Other than that there is a little coverage on fsn. Both men and women. This isn’t a grand slam tournament so that is why it is getting so little coverage.
They didnt show coverage at Pacific Life Open either. Actually yesterday, I was shocked to find they were showing Serena, Federer, Roddick instead of totally dissing tennis once again. Their continues ot be no respect when comes to tennis, and until those within respect it, being television, media itself, and sportsfans alike, it will continually be this way. As I have stated several times, ESPN, FSN, and even Tennis Channel arent showing live matches, especially Tennis Channel but rather show, interviews with players from 2005-06, as well taped matches of Sampras vs Federer from 2 months ago, The Other Side With Leyton Hewitt from 2005, which incidentally he has fallen off the tennis scene, rankings, game, and even racquetball. I mean what gives with that.
