The sixth seeded del Potro won his first Grand Slam title by upsetting the Federer in a five set match 3-6, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows. Roger Federer in 7th Wimbledon Final

A new record has been setby Roger Federer, he will play his seventh Wimbledon final and twentieth Slam final. The world no. 2 Swiss player, beat Germany’s Tommy Haas by 7-6 (7/3), 7-5, 6-3, and now very hopeful to win his 5th Wimbledon tournament that would also give him a chance to secure a record 15 slam tournaments. Federer commented that “I am very proud of my records because as a kid I never imagined I could be so successful”. In the final he will play against Andy Roddick from USA.

Roddick in Wimbledon 2009 Final 3rd Time

Two time Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick once again reached in Wimbledon final by beating British hope Andy Murray 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (5). This is his 3rd Wimbledon Final.
Roddick will face five-time champion Roger Federer on this Sunday in Wimbledon 2009 Final Match for the title. Roddick has lost the final games in 2004 and 2005 to Federer, as well as the 2003 Wimbledon semifinals.
Federer has already booked his space in Final earlier by defeating Tommy Haas from Germany 7-6 (3), 7-5, 6-3.
Murray had been trying to become the first British man to win the title at the All England Club since Fred Perry in 1936.
