ATP World Tour ? Roger Federer looking to get his best tennis back

Loosing the first place in the ATP World Rankings did not suit well to Roger Federer. Considering Rafael Nadal’s is playing at his career’s best, Federer is going to require all of the resources that he has available to get the No. 1 spot back. This is the reason why Federer is adding a new member to his team: Paul Annacone, who happens to be former Pete Sampras’ coach.  For now the agreement is just for a test period, and the results and sensations will determine its extension.

After 285 weeks of being ranked as number one, and needing only one more week to tie the all-time record held by Sampras, the Swiss lost the first place and record opportunity when Nadal won Rolando Garros on June 6th. And the fall didn’t stop there, because Serbian Novak Djokovic pushed him to the third place after Wimbledon. This year has not been the best for him, even though he won a Grand Slam title in the Australian Open after defeating Andy Murray, he has not been able to win another title since.

Roger’s present shows that his game is still effective enough to be in the top places, but not sufficient to be in the first one. In the two last Grand Slams (Roland Garros and Wimbledon) he has lost in the quarter-finals, a completely different scenario from what he experienced last year, when he won both.

On the brighter side, the Federer Express is only 28. He still got some good years ahead, and no big changes need to be made to his game. Perhaps just polish some of his techniques to make those shots into winning points again. Annacone has a real clear picture of the situation: “for guys like that, it is daunting but not that daunting. They are so skilled, they can adjust, but a lot of the adjustment is mental”.

“As Paul winds down his responsibilities working for the Lawn Tennis Association, we will explore our relationship through this test period”.

This is not the first time the Federer tries to step up his game with the help of temporary coaches. Names like Tony Roche, Darren Cahill or Jose Higueras have been associated with him in recent years. Now it is Paul Annacone’s time to influence his style, and hopefully bring his winning strike back.

The Big Apple

Meanwhile the Swiss will harm up for the US Open in the Rogers Cup that will be held in Toronto on August 9th, where all the big names like Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Davydenko, Soderling, Roddick and Del Potro will be present as well on their run for the title. This tournament will not only award 1000 points to the winner, but also help to strengthen his confidence right before the last Grand Slam of the year.

A virtual win in Toronto would not only lead Federer to the second place on the ranking, but it would also be a great sign of recovery just on time for the Big Apple’s challenge, where his supremacy was only interrupted last year by Del Potro after winning the Open 5 times in a row.

Do you agree that Roger Federer will become the “BEST” player ever to play the game of tennis?

Even if Roger Federer has not yet completed a career grandslam…for now, he is the only man in the history of the game to be in a “NINE” consecutive grandslam finals. Rod Laver and Don Budge both completed a career grandslam but did not made it to nine consecutive grandslam finals. Both of the two are alike, (Rod Laver & Don Budge) but Federer has no one besides him in his record!

Best way to plan finals day trip: Wimbledon 2010?

A friend and myself really want to go to Wimbledon this year for the first time. The only day we can both do is Sunday, which is men’s finals day.

I just wondered if anyone had any advice about how to go about getting the best out of our day- when to leave home (I know you have to queue for 4 hours or more to get in), which ticket to buy, whether we’ll get in to centre court or not, when and where to eat etc. etc. any Wimbledon advice welcome!

Thanks!

This flower is so self-centred, in that turns out that I outstanding apologetic if I jump another star pro categorize him on the list.

1. Lionel Messi
Leo is experiencing his auriferous ages. Mould season he successfully brought Barcelona to be a champions of champions league and develop the most appropriate athlete of the world. This year he successfully defended the la liga looking for Barcelona. His m?tier to outwit and pass the opponents, the rapid driblling making Leo became the ace for Argentina to suit the winner this year. His flaw is regularly powerless if the itch benefit of him is blocked. Latest standard was when Barcelona met Inter Milan in Champions Coalition semifinals.Nike nz shox shoes is his best love.

2.Fernando Torres
There were some who unwisely baulked when Rafa Benitez stumped up ¡ê26.5m on Fernando Torres three year ago but of all the complaints one could refrain at the Anfield proprietor¡¯s door that particular deal is not one of them. Identical with prolonged spells in view with injuries the Atletico Madrid guy has been unbelievable in the service of Liverpool scoring 72 goals in 103 starts whilst fit a Kop idol.He is distinctive and vivid, but he love wholesale ed hardy clothing as the ordinary people.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo
Able, great facilitate and skill combining with far up instinct of predator is a skilled words to delineate him. Ronaldo was french enchant?e Manchester Collaborative fans when he dribbled the ball beautifully on speedily wing, do some magical peda lada and become an idol of Fossil Trafford. He gave a whacking big contribution in behalf of Red Devils to contrive The Champions Band prize on 2007-2008 and took Paramount Especially bettor tag quest of that season. This edible he moved to Legitimate Madrid and became a height scorer but he couldn?ˉt conduct the club to cause a interest but he quiet showed the remarkable talent. His leaning is Portugal troop not as substantial as Luis Figos era, makes it so wearying to prop him and humongous expectation to him may be a recoil if he feell so burdened and cannot play optimal.Cheap mbt footwear is together with him all the time.

4. Wayne Rooney
This season, Rooney just like a larva which get free from the cocoon. After being shadowed by Ronaldo’s shine, Ronney find his own style. plotted as a striker in Manutd bring back his goal sense. His strength and speed helped him to find the opponents net easily. Though his size not so tall as a striker. he found another good way to score with heading. One more thing, he is not a selfish player. He will give the ball to the teammate that has more chance to score. His weakness is after hampered by injury, seem like he cannot bring back his sense of goal yet and it may be a problem for England.Tn chaussure become his best partner in World Cup.

5. David Villa
In euro 2008 he was a top scorer to brought Spain the winner. This season he  already confirmed his future with Barcelona in order to save Valencia from bankruptcy. He’s not a tall striker but he has a great instinct to sneak between  opponent center back and punish them with accurately shot. Torres existence also give him some benefit. The opponent defender always get attracted by his moves, makes Villa Being invisible.  His weakness is little bit selfish but considering his ability we can understand.Wearing nike shox r4 shoes will give him much confident during strong game.

Probably we can count his decision to join Real Madrid as a mistake. The facts is he never find a good tune to harmonize his play style with his role on a team. But despite that fact, he still regarded as one of the world’s best players. For Brazil he was plotted as a playmaker who

Best athletes of 2009

2009 was full of great accomplishments from athletes, who have demonstrated excellent skills and have achieved incomparable performances. Although it’s not easy to single out the top athletes of the year, there are athletes, who really stood out for their courage, strength, stamina and passion for what they’re doing.

Kim Clijsters

Tennis is by far one of the hardest and most challenging sports on the planet, but when Kim Clijsters takes over it seems like the simplest thing in the world. In 2009, Clijsters returned to tennis after two years and won the U.S. Open after achieving excellent performances.

In 2007, Clijsters had announced her decision to abandon competitive tennis to start a family. She got married to American basketball player Brian Lynch and in 2008 she gave birth to their wonderful daughter Jada Ellie. In 2009 she announced her decision to return to professional tennis spreading happiness in the hearts of the fans around the globe and anxiety in the hearts of her competitors in the tennis courts.

And they were right to be worried. Clijsters hasn’t forgotten anything of her unparalleled technique that had made her number one in the world in 2003. Apparently, she has returned to stay and she has all the potential to become number one again and be on the top for a long time. U.S. Open was only the beginning. And time will prove what an excellent player and character she is combining her mental strength with athletic posture towards great achievements.

Usain Bolt

When Bolt run 100 meters in 9.69 seconds at Beijing Summer Olympics of 2008 everybody knew he could do better. And he did. The “Lightning Bolt” smashed the 100-meter record running 100 meters in 9.58 seconds at Berlin World Championship in August 2009. And he didn’t stop there. He smashed his own record in 200 meters running 200 meters in 19.19 seconds. What makes Bolt’s record even more impressive and sports fans more demanding is that 19.19 is 0.11 seconds faster than 19.30 that he did at Beijing Summer Olympics of 2008, but Bolt run into a headwind (-0.3m/s) in Berlin. So, this makes us all wonder: what is he capable of doing if he runs at (0.0 m/s) or with a favorable wind?

No matter if Bolt is here to stay or if he is a “Lightning Bolt” that will soon fade out, he has managed to differentiate himself from any other track runner in the history of track and field with his unique, hard running style, excellent speed and tough demeanor.

Kobe Bryant

The shooting guard of Los Angeles Lakers was named Finals MVP after Lakers won the 2009 NBA Championship over the Orlando Magic in 5 games. This was the 4th NBA title for Kobe Bryant and his first Finals MVP Award and he definitely deserved both.

Being dedicated to defense, Kobe sustained intensity and teamwork, while his own game became quicker to an extent that he was almost unstoppable. His statistics throughout the regular season are quite impressive: he scored 61 points in Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, he gave nearly 400 assists in the regular seasons and he averaged 33 points per game in the Finals. With such a leader, it was no surprise that the Lakers won the NBA Championship.

Kobe Bryant is ready for much more. Being already recognized for his leadership skills and his instrumental role in the Lakers, he is ready to win more championships with the Los Angeles team. It’s not only his motivation to defend the NBA throne with his teammates; it’s also his personal bet to prove that this personal overachievement was not accidental.

Tiger Woods

Coming off a major knee surgery that kept him off track for the second half of 2008 and the first six weeks of 2009, nobody knew what to expect, and in that respect, Woods’ comeback has been a blatant success.

Tiger Woods is, admittedly, one of the best athletes of 2009. Because golf is not as physical as the majority of other sports, many people consider it easy, or even uninteresting. However, people who play golf know how easy it is to make a mistake. Woods returned after a major knee injury and achieved an eight-stroke triumph in Chicago. Although during the year he hasn’t won as many majors as in any other previous year, he managed to be consistent and achieve high finishes. This demonstrates a strong mindset, a talented player and a confident individual, who was ready to compete against approximately 150 players from around the globe. And he did it.

Roger Federer is the best tennis player ever?

Now that 2007 season is over, i guess nobody can refuse the truth, not even Sampras fans. I loved Pete, but Roger plays in a league of his own.

Former Wimbledon champion Jack Kramer says Roger is the best he has seen (and he is 85 years old!).
John McEnroe sayas he wish he could have played like Federer.
Borg says Federer is better than he was.
